Corporate Consulting Process
We begin most corporate alignment projects by starting with a single
function like finance or manufacturing and map the current business
processes, interview the people who interact with the processes,
capture knowledge about how they do their job, analyze the findings
and compare the actual processes with the systems. We then design
optimal processes that best use the systems. We work with the employees
to implement the new processes and create buy in. We
then calculate the return on investment from the new processes.
We then radiate out into the rest of the organization to align the
processes in other groups ultimately bringing the complete company
into alignment.
We also learn about whether People have:
- Bought In to the company's strategic
and tactical goals
- Personal benefits from using existing processes
- Personal risks associated with changing
current processes
- Competitiveness awareness
- Can contribute to profitability
- A need to be refocused
- Performance goals for themselves as well
as a team
- A feeling they can influence the company
and departments culture and climate
- Competitive professional skills
- Customer and supplier knowledge
- Adequate systems expertise
- Clear communications with others
- Feelings of Accomplishment
- A feeling they are appreciated
- The support they need to accomplish their
goals
- Personal values that align with company
values and goals
- What they need in their careers and personal
lives
- Income Goals
- A Life Attitude/Spirituality
